about

This song is dedicated to everyone who's been with us, be it for the past few months or even for the past 6 years. This song is one of our very favorites and its been a great run of 6 years doing music. This was Kelvin's last contribution to the band and with that we present, The Broken.

lyrics

Verse

I've had enough,
Of living, in the past.
So tired of trying, to make good things last

Steadfast and strong,
I walk tall,
Weathered and weary,
I will never fall.

Many times I've strayed from certain paths
Desperately, looking for the right one
Trying to carve out my own mark in the world.

Inescapable truths,
Are taking, its toll.
I'm torn apart,
I'm afraid
I'll lose control

There's nothing else to say,
Maybe best words left unsaid.
To be saved for another day,
I must face the consequences.

A dark shadow of the past
Casts its dark veil overhead.
Finding difficulty to escape
The sun rises at my darkest.

Chorus

(You cry)
Every single night you cry
(In your sleep)
Your tears till your eyes dry up
You cry in your sleep.
You have nothing to hide,
You have nothing to be ashamed of,
From this beautiful world,
From this beautiful world.
Sleep in my arms tonight,
(Where its safe and sound)
Where its safe and sound.

Verse

A certain tainted shade, deep inside
This colour's turned down,
A meaningless stain.
Something I'll carry with me,
Something I can never hide.

Something I'll carry with me,
Something I can never hide.
Everything will take its toll,
I wanna be whole again.

Oppression will never play its cruel hands,
Remembrance!
Onward let's boldly go!
Oppression will never play its cruel hands,
Remembrance!
Let's lose ourselves!
Oppression will never play its cruel hands,
Remembrance!
And be forgiven!

Times are hard,
I see my reflection in the mirror.
These failures,
Will never bring me down
Dare to hope, dare to dream!

Chorus

Oh God I seek your grace and compassion
Pray for this soul full of scars
Pray for this soul full of shame
Away from all deceiving eyes
Away from all these searing eyes
Hold my hand
(Hold my hand)
Walk with me
(Walk with me)
Into this sanctuary
Into this sanctuary
Oh God I seek your grace and compassion
Pray for this soul full of scars
Pray for this soul full of shame

Outro

The tiniest fraction of this glorious sky
Peeks through this walls
Time to get back to the grind
Time to pull myself together
I won't forget
I will move on
I know I'm worth it all

I won't forget
(I won't forget)
I will move on
(I will move on)
I will press on
(I will press on, press on!)

I won't forget
(I won't forget)
I will move on
(I will move on)
I will press on
I thank God for this second chance!

I won't forget
(I won't forget)
I will move on
(I will move on)
I will press on
(I will press on, press on!)

I won't forget
(I won't forget)
I will move on
(I will move on)
I will press on
(I will press on, press on!)
